Gujarat has attained over 76 % Patient Recovery Rate – CM

Today, Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi has taken a comprehensive review of the prevalent situation of “Corona Transition, Control, and Treatment’ in various states of the country through holding a simultaneous video conference with Chief Ministers of the states.

While taking part in this video conference from Gandhinagar along with Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel, Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani categorically stated that during the last five months the state government and Corona-Warriors with their dedicated and hardworking efforts in a fight against this world-wide pandemic have successfully improved the situation to a great extent. Rupani further stated that under guidelines of the Prime Minister, Gujarat is determined to defeat this pandemic of Corona. Gujarat has attained nearly 76% Patient Recovery Rate and more than 55,000 Corona positive patients have gone home after successful treatment. At present, the state has approximately 14,000 active cases of the Corona. Over 10-lakh Corona tests were conducted, so far, in Gujarat.

At present, the Corona tests are being conducted at 59 laboratories, including 34 government laboratories, in Gujarat. In Gujarat, about 47,000 COVID-beds as well as 2,300 ventilators are working for intensive and quick treatment of the corona infected patients. In one month, nearly 52-lakh citizens were given medical facilities using over 1,000 Dhanwantari Raths in Gujarat, Rupani added. The video conference was also attended by Gujarat Home Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja, Chief Secretary Anil Mukim, Sangeeta Singh – Additional Chief Secretary (Home Dept), Director General of Police (DGP) Ashish Bhatiya, K Kailashnathan – Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Additional Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, Mrs. Jayanti Ravi – Principal Secretary (Health), and Ashwini Kumar – Secretary to the Chief Minister, and others.
