Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani prayed for prosperity and well-being of people at Ambaji temple on Vikram Samvat New Year


Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today offered prayer and paid his obeisance to Adya Shakti Ma Ambe at the famous Ambaji temple in Banaskantha district on the occasion of Vikram Samvat New Year. He prayed for greater prosperity and health of the people in the state and nation and early overcome from the global pandemic novel coronavirus Covid-19.  

Exchanging New Year greetings with newspersons after coming out of the temple, Rupani said there is little rise again in incidence of coronavirus but all arrangements are being made to control and combat the highly contagious virus. Curfew has been clamped in Ahmedabad this weekend entire Saturday and Sunday keeping safety of the people in view. He said that the government took this important decision for people’s well-being. He fervently appealed to the people not to panic but observe all protocols of wearing mask, maintaining social distancing, using sanitizers and washing hands with soap after coming in contact with virus.

Rupani said the government’s decision to partially reopen class IX to XII in schools and colleges from November 23 has been postponed as a precautionary measure, owing to little rise in coronavirus cases. Talking about development of Ambaji as a famous pilgrims centre, he said that Ambaji Development Authority has been set up and infrastructure facilities are being improved fast for the comfort of the pilgrims.
