We will keep raising the Delhiites voice till Kejriwal gives account of Rs 26,000 crores in the Jal Board scam-Adesh Gupta
Hundreds of Delhi Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party workers led by its president Adesh Gupta on Tuesday under took a Pad Yatra to protest against removal of posters and hoardings in Rs. 26,000 crores scam in Delhi Jal Board at the behest of a minister in Kejriwal government Satyendar Jain and board’s vice chairman Raghav Chaddha. The Pad yatra started from party district office in Karol Bagh and going through Inderpuri culminated at Todapur. Its aim was to expose the scams of Kejriwal government before the people. Among others who took part in this Pad yatra were BJP’s national spokesperson Sardar R.P. Singh, Pradesh vice presidents Rajan Tiwari and Ashok Goel Devraha, Pradesh BJP Secretary Mohan Lal Dayma, district president Rajesh Goel, Suresh Sharma, Chairman North Delhi standing Committee, Chhail Bihari Goswami besides councilors and mandal president and workers of Rajendra Nagar assembly constituency.
Addressing this people’s awareness programme, Adesh Gupta said that both the Kejriwal government and Raghav Chaddha seem to be scared because of this scam. The fact is Kejriwal is busy in getting these posters and hoardings removed by his ministers and official machinery. So much so that the BJP workers are being threatened with dire consequences, he said, adding that Delhi’s people are out on the roads protesting against Rajendra Nagar MLA and Jal Board’s vice chairman Raghav Chaddha. He said while Kejriwal MLAs are busy in tanker, pipeline and sewerage scams, Delhiites are not getting clean water to drink. The Kejriwal government seems to be hell bent upon ignoring the voice of people and making the Jal Board bereft of financial resources.
Delhi BJP president challenged Kejriwal to prove the charges wrong by coming clean on this huge scam. Afterall, who is responsible for this Rs. 26,000 crores scam, he asked, adding the people of Delhi who are paying taxes to help improve the infrastructure of the capital, have every right to know this. But the irony is that Kejriwal is only helping fill up the pockets of his close and trusted aides, he charged. Adesh Gupta asserted that the BJP would not rest till the Kejriwal government gave account of this Rs. 26,000 crores scam and would only intensify its protest demonstration and keep raising people’s voice.
