The second day’s meeting tomorrow will take place in Mazra dabas village in northwest Delhi which will be inaugurated by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The meeting today was presided over by State Party President Adesh Gupta. Party’s National Vice President and Delhi Incharge Baijayant Panda addressed the meeting virtually from Assam while National Secretary and Co-Incharge Dr Alka Gurjar addressed the concluding session.
The Former Delhi BJP Presidents Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Vijay Goel and Vijendra Gupta, MP Hansraj Hans, LoP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, National Spokespersons Sardar R.P. Singh and Nupur Sharma, State General Secretaries Harsh Malhotra and Dinesh Pratap Singh, Vice Presidents Shri Ashok Goel and Virendra Sachdeva, State Treasurer Vishnu Mitthal, MLAs, Leaders in the corporation, Office bearers and committee’s members were present in the meeting. They discussed the political resolution to be introduced in the main meeting tomorrow and gave their suggestions besides discussing organizational matters.
In his virtual address, Panda praised the party workers for not only their political and organizational work but also for carrying out constructive social work drives during corona pandemic time. He said the Prime Minister Narender Modi’s government has been working tirelessly for welfare of Delhiites and its works include regularizing unauthorized colonies among others which will benefit lakhs of capital’s people. He also welcomed Delhi NCT amendment bill 2021 and told the workers to discuss it with common people and inform them how it will give them a clean and clear administrative system.
Panda also hailed the pravas programmes at mandal level by the state president Adesh Gupta saying this will energize them in strengthening the organization further. He asked the workers to create awareness about increasing pollution and water supply shortage in Delhi and failure of state government to tackle these twin issues.
Addressing the party workers, Adesh Gupta praised the party workers for their selfless service during corona epidemic times and also their efforts in vaccination campaign at the call of Prime Minister Narender Modi.
He also said Kejriwal government is the Government of scams and in past six years there have only been scams one after another whereas air and water pollution level has reached an alarming stage to the extent that Delhi has become the most polluted capital in the world.
He charged the Kejriwal government with spreading falsehood on the Delhi NCT amendment bill 2021 and doorstep ration delivery and said it appears as if the Union government has snatched away the constitutional rights of the Delhi government. The fact is the way Kejriwal today said the words “Mukhyamantra” would be removed from this scheme shows he knew it was not legally tenable. Similarly, on the amendment bill, his opposition seems to be more political than administrative, he charged.
The Delhi BJP president said while Kejriwal government claims to have made historic budgetary allocations in past six years on sectors like education, health, transport and pollution the fact remains more often than not, 20 to 30 per cent of the budget allocations in these sectors always lapse.
Gupta, while sharing his mandal parvas experience with the committee members, said they now seem to be more enthusiastic and energized and “I can say based on my experience that party is ready for 2022 corporations elections at the booth level”.
Addressing the concluding session of the meeting, national secretary and state co incharge Dr Alka Gurjar said the party’s state and district level leadership will have to make continuing efforts to reach out to people and hold direct dialogue with them to know the issues. She said the BJP is world’s largest party with the motto Nation First and it is our duty to work towards taking Modi’s welfare policies to the last man in the row.
Dr Gurjar said the real problem for opposition parties today is not Modi but the spirit of nationalism that he has generated among masses. She said she has been working with party workers since last six months and they are the best workers but they only have to launch a full –fledged mass campaign against Kejriwal government’s misrule based on falsehood and propaganda.
In today’s meeting Bidhuri introduced the political resolution for discussion and said the BJP legislative party will leave no stone unturned to expose the misdeeds of the Kejriwal government. But he also urged the party workers to go among people and expose him.
