Now there’s a better place for those piles of clothes which haven’t had a day out in years than the corner of your wardrobe. On the occasion of the 75th independence day celebration, Drishti Foundation Trust has launched DFT cloth bank to collect boredom and transform it into happiness by delivering unwanted, used or less than perfect clothes from brands and donors to those in need.
“Due to sentimental values or out of sheer laziness, we keep accumulating clothes but often realize that instead of bringing joy, they become an additional burden due to the clutter they create. To make donating clothes easy, we have launched the concept of DFT cloth bank, wherein we collect the used clothes from the doorsteps. You just need to call us at 9638522666 and our team will reach you to help you make space for happiness. We make sure that the clothes are sanitized properly before passing them on.” – Dinesh Kumar Gautam, Founder, DFT.
A cloth donation drive was conducted by DFT in association with CII at Virat Nagar slum in Ahmedabad where the collected clothes from the cloth bank were distributed to the needy.
We have received an overwhelming response from all over India, but currently, DFT cloth bank is available only for the residents of Delhi and Ahmedabad and will be available in other locations very soon. Most of the time we receive a very heartwarming response from the receivers of the donated clothes, especially from children who express their gratitude in the most innocent way. I believe that by giving instead of accumulating we experience the truest form of happiness. Give us a buzz if you want to experience it, said the ex-journalist who has dedicated his life to philanthropy (Dinesh Kumar Gautam, Founder, DFT).
