CM Chouhan and Union Minister Tomar inaugurate Mission Gramodaya
Gruha Pravesh programme held for 1.25 lakh families
Over 10 thousand 500 community construction works dedicated
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that after the Nagarodaya Mission, now Mission Gramodaya has been started in the entire state. Overall development of rural areas will be done through this mission. Besides providing housing facilities in rural areas, basic and fundamental infrastructure will also be expanded under the mission. This will bring a smile on the faces of the villagers and usher new happiness in their lives. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the state-level programme of Gramodaya Mission in Dhar . Union Rural Development and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar participated virtually in the programme from Assam.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being effectively implemented in Madhya Pradesh. Houses are being rapidly constructed for the homeless. Construction of 3 lakh houses was completed and given to needy families in the last one year, under the adverse circumstances of the Corona period. It is our effort to ensure that no one should remain homeless till the year 2022, everyone should have a concrete house. He said that the state government is farmer friendly. No effort will be spared for the welfare of the farmers. Facilities including insurance amount, relief amount, Samman Nidhi and other facilities will be provided to the farmers. He said that the last date for depositing outstanding agricultural loans in banks will be extended.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Mission Gramodaya has been started for the overall development of rural areas. Under this, every village will have concrete roads, gram panchayat building, Muktidham and sports grounds in every gram panchayat. Water will be supplied through taps in every house in every village. Arrangements are being made to supply tap water to 26 lakh houses this year. In the next 3 years, arrangement of tap water to one crore 2 lakh houses will be ensured. Self-help groups in Mission Gramodaya will be empowered financially. They will be given loans at 2 percent interest. Self-help groups are being entrusted with the task of making school uniforms and nutritious food for anganwadis.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Sambal Yojana has been resumed. The benefit of every component of this will be given to every needy family. He said that an advanced school with state-of-the-art facilities will be built in every 20 to 25 km radius in the state. A provision of Rs 1500 crore has been made for this. Free transport facility will also be provided to children of such schools.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that all possible efforts are being made to control Corona in the state. There is no ban on celebrating any festival including Bhagoria in the state. Such decisions are being taken in Corona affected districts in view of public health. Chief Minister Chouhan said that a bus stand will be named after late Kushabhau Thackeray in Dhar and a new building of government college will be built in Pithampur.
Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that rural development schemes, especially Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana are being effectively implemented in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is among the top 5 states in the country in the implementation of many rural development schemes.
Tomar said that remarkable works are also being done in the field of agriculture in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh has left behind even Punjab and Haryana in agriculture sector. He informed that more than 3 lakh houses have been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is second in the country in the implementation of the scheme. Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. He said that Swamitva Yojana has been started in rural areas as per the wish of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
State’s Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia said that today’s programme is remarkable. The Prime Minister Modi’s dream is being realized through this programme.He said that houses have been provided to 1.75 lakh families in the past and today houses have been provided to 1.25 lakh families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This is a big achievement for Madhya Pradesh. Houses will be constructed for five lakh more beneficiaries in the state. He said that there is no dearth of funds for rural development.
