Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has urged to make advanced strategy to control Covid-19 pandemic. He said the special caution is required to be exercised in the districts of Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Jhansi, Varanasi, Payagaraj and Bareilly to contain Covid-19. He also asked to do more and more Covid tests and increase the number of Covid beds in L-2 and L-3 hospitals.
Presiding over a high-level unlock review meeting at his official residence on Sunday, he said the senior doctors should take regular rounds in the hospitals to monitor the condition of Covid patients. He said the contact tracing should be done effectively. The CM also directed to make L-3 hospitals in Saharnpur at the earliest while asked to make dedicated Covid hospitals functional in Shamli and Bareilly by August 16.
CM said the prompt ambulance facility should be available to take Covid patients to hospital. It is extremely important to make Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) effective for this as it will help Covid patients get treatment at the earliest. He said the hospitals should have better health services. CM was apprised of in the meeting that as many as 31,18,567 Covid testings have already been done so far. He was also told that the cleanliness and sanitisation work is being carried out on Saturdays and Sundays as planned. Chief Minister directed the Medical Education department to double the capacity of beds in all the medical colleges of the state. Similarly, he directed the Health department to start the process to augment the capacity of ICU beds in the district hospitals. He directed to provide timely relief to all those who are stuck in floods. Such places should also have proper arrangement of boats and security mechanism. He specifically pointed out that the cow shelters in Pilibhit and Azamgarh districts should be equipped with all the facilities including green fodder.
