SBI General, one of India’s leading General Insurance Company has extended support to the two villages of Latur for creating water wealth villages and pilot an integrated watershed management project. For this project, SBI General is associated with Dilasa, a Civil Society Organization committed to working towards rural development. Recognizing that access to water for irrigation, as well as drinking water was a key challenge faced in the region, SBI General Insurance alongside Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan conceptualized the watershed management project. The project aimed to increase the ground water table, thereby, now it enables access to water.
