Triple oxygen supply in the state: Shivraj Singh Chouhan


Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that in view of the spread of Corona infection in the state, all possible arrangements for treatment are being made. Three times more oxygen supply has been ensured in the state in three days. Three days ago, where 60 metric tonne oxygen was being made available, today 180 metric tonnes have been supplied. One lakh Remdesivir injections will be made available in the state every month. Orders for 50 thousand Remdesivir injections have been issued for patients and the supply has also started. One lakh beds are being arranged in the state. CT scan will be arranged in all district hospitals. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a virtual meeting of Cabinet on the management of Covid 19 from Mantralaya. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bais, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and Additional Chief Secretary Home Rajesh Rajaura were present in the meeting. The meeting of the Cabinet began with the rendition of Vande Mataram.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that there is no need for anyone to panic in the state. A three-tier strategy is being worked out to control Corona infection. To prevent the spread of corona infection, a massive public awareness campaign is being launched under which, activities like Swashya Agraha, Roko-Toko campaign are being conducted. Supply of material required for treatment, increase in number of beds and efficient management is being ensured. Along with this, the vaccination campaign has been intensive and extensive. People should be patient and tolerant. The state government is making every effort to maintain the arrangements. Corona situation will be controlled with the help of the society. Information on the management of Corona infection will be informed through press briefing daily.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it will be ensured that such a situation does not arise in the state in which people are deprived of treatment due to lack of medical equipments. Cooperation of private sector hospitals is being taken along with government hospitals, work is also being done to develop a hospital-like system in big government buildings. Proposals are also being invited from the private sector in this connection.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the members of the Cabinet will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing Corona infection. Ministers will handle the arrangements of their districts. Districts which have more than one minister will see arrangements of the surrounding districts. In this order, Chief Minister Chouhan gave instructions to Minister Tulsiram Silawat to manage Indore, Ratlam to Jagdish Deora, Bhopal to Vishwas Sarang, Gwalior to Pradyumna Singh Tomar, Neemuch and Mandsaur to Hardeep Singh Dang and Shajapur to Inder Singh Parmar.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that ‘Teeka Utsav’ will be celebrated in the state from April 11 to 14. In this period, a target of 5 lakh vaccines has been set. Special activities will be conducted for vaccination in the worst Corona affected districts in rural areas. Along with this, Kill Corona-2 campaign will also be conducted in these districts. Activities are being conducted on a massive scale to ensure that people wear masks, maintain proper distance and follow precautions not to gather crowds. Large containment zones will be built in major cities for infection control. Doctor visits with medical kits are being arranged for patients in home isolation. All necessary approvals have been issued to ensure availability of adequate staff at the Covid Centers.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the rates of all tests and hospitals have been fixed. Strict action will be taken against the black marketing of oxygen, hospitals charging above the prescribed rate for screening and treatment. Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman gave a presentation on the condition of Corona in the state before the Cabinet.
